Austria cost calculator · 2026 tariffs

Estimate the licence tariff without hiding it inside a service fee.

Enter annual packaging quantities. The calculator applies the binding household and commercial allocation to each item, prices the result on two published 2026 system cards, and keeps licence tariffs outside our private fees.

01

What do you place on the Austrian market?

Packaging can be estimated below. Electrical equipment and battery obligations are separate registrations that require their own classification and a manual quote.

Binding allocation applied

Each item below is split between household and commercial packaging using the shares fixed by the Austrian allocation ordinance. The shares are binding for every company, so this is the required method rather than an optimisation.

Optional packaging allocation review

The result is non-binding. Final obligated-party allocation, product-group assignment and taxable treatment require review. Electrical equipment and battery contributions are never estimated from a foreign-market proxy.

What the calculator does — and does not do

01

Ordinary procedure

The tariff is calculated from annual grams, the binding allocation shares and the reviewed 2026 cards. Where household packaging stays at or below 1,500 kg, a flat annual tariff is compared as well. Placeholder €0; the threshold is not aggregated across materials.

02

Alternative procedures

A-valore, per-tara and turnover forfait routes have separate eligibility, thresholds and filing rules. They are shown as alternatives for human review and are never selected automatically here.

03

Separate cost owners

Standard is an indicative €474/year plus €150 initial setup. The chosen collection and recovery system sets and invoices the licence tariff; that invoice reaches the client directly. VAT, the €5.16 adhesion quota and other third-party costs stay separate.

Calculator questions

+

Why is part of my packaging priced as commercial?

Because the household and commercial split is fixed by ordinance for each product group and is binding, so a share of shipping cartons, plastics and tapes is commercial packaging whatever your sales channel. This is applied automatically and is not a self-check. At 10 tonnes or more, a statistical declaration can still be required.

+

Why is there a range rather than one number?

Because tariffs are published per collection and recovery system. The lower figure is the cheaper reviewed system and the higher figure the more expensive one, on the same packaging and the same allocation.

+

Does the result grant Amazon Starter?

No. Starter is an indicative €399 first-year / €299 renewal reference for a narrow Amazon-only profile. Channel, weight and history need a human review.

+

What remains quote-only?

Electrical equipment, batteries and the final packaging allocation review scope need manual classification. Selecting them marks the estimate as open rather than inventing an external tariff.

The short qualification distinguishes an Austrian reseller/importer from a direct business end-user before contact details appear.
